Saved By The Bell - Your Next School Scrapbook
School is a crucial part of growing up. Everyone has been through it and has accumulated many fond, and not so pleasant memories of their time there.
Considering you’re in there for no less than ten years of your childhood, you owe it to yourself to put together a school scrapbook that not only captures the feel of your time there, but preserves the memories for years to come.
So where do you start?
This is the easiest part.
Look through your cupboards, spare rooms and book shelves and get every scrap of school memorabilia you will find. When I did this, I turned up a treasure-trove of great materials, just begging to be employed in my school scrapbook.
I actually picked up such a lot that I ended up making 3 albums, one for my early, middle and senior years in school.
So what type of things do you look for?
If your college had it, a uniform is a great spot to start. Ties, shirts and materials can all be cut up and used in your book as a backing or decorations for your pages. I know you have some reservations, but lets be truthful when was the last time you got it out and looked at it? I did it and have not looked back since.
You may incorporate the design that has inevitably been saved by your parents from when you were small. You don’t have to chop this up, but you might want to have something that folds out if its too large for one page.
Also, if you’re looking for a good way to fill in your pages, you can rip some of the pages out of your old manuals it isn’t like you are going to utilize them anyway!
I hope you’ve got a few good ideas and with a little bit of luck have now thought of a few of your own. When you consider it, a school scrapbook is actually more fun than hard to make, which is the way scrapping should be.
