Your Special Day Deserves Special Wedding Scrapbook Layouts
Your special day. Chances are it was a windstorm of memories, preparing, photographs, well wishers, cake cutting and a new partner to share it all with! Seldom will there be days that may create more memories and more material to put into a scrapbook.
Just when you believed your days of choosing the ideal patterns, designs and colours for all the parts of your wedding was over, you go to work on a scrapbook of the important day. Once again you are knee deep in deciding on colors, patterns and the perfect pieces to remember your ultimate day with the perfect wedding scrapbook layout.
1 ) Don’t Whitewash Everything
All too commonly, I have seen scrapbook after scrapbook which have gone with a white or off white color as the main colour for the book. While this is a sure thing, its also a boring one. My approach is nothing risked, nothing gained. Be a little more adventuresome, there is real beauty to be found in a light lavender or a silver / gray theme that may immortalize the instant in a lovely and individual way.
However if you want a wedding scrapbook that looks like everyone else’s, go right ahead.
2 ) Tenderness is good, Fun is better.
When flipping through wedding scrapbooks, one thing I’ve spotted is that many scrappers appear to put a large amount of soft light studio photos in their wedding scrapbooks. This should be avoided for two reasons. First If you want to put lots of professional pictures together, put them into a photograph album. Second, everything will look like its in slow motion and should be set to a sound track. This is not how your day went and that isn’t what your book should be showing. Include the peculiar or off the wall photos, the bride fixing her makeup, the happy couple dancing, the band and people enjoying themselves. This brings me to the third tip:
3 ) Don’t forget about everyone else!
Yes, it was your special day and that was about you and your other half and the life you’ll be sharing together. However, do not forget about the varieties of friends, family and well wishers that turned out to be there for your important day. Ensure your layouts leave room for pictures of friends, boogying, dancing, eating and usually having a great time!
You do not want everybody thinking nobody turned up to your wedding do you?
So there you have it, three easy tips you can follow to bypass the common pitfalls people fall into when planning their wedding scrapbook layouts.
That is all for the moment, good luck and happy scrapping!
