Time For Something Different : Original Green Quilt Ideas
This could be the first time you’ve heard someone say this but… I’m bored with the usual quilt colours. It can not be just me, but I have been seeing the same set of colours being used for quilts again and again. Whites, Blues, Browns, Purples and Dark Reds.
Its time for a change, time for something a bit different, so I have come up with some new concepts for a great green quilt design.
Snakes and Ladders Quilt
Did you ever play that old board game snakes and ladders? It feels like everybody has played a copy of it at some stage in the childhood.
Well if you truly want to make a green quilt that your kids will love, you’ll win a place in their heart by making them one of those. Imagine the thrill when they can invite their friends over to play snakes and ladders and lay out the quilt on the floor to play.
They could even use themselves as the game markers!
Loch Ness Monster Quilt
The famous Loch Ness Monster has been discussed and spotted by the rare few for years and years. There isn’t any other mythical creature which has so much intrigue and mystery surrounding it that is said to be rumoured to be alive today!
You can capture your children’s creative side and sense of wonder by making them a quilt featuring the famous ‘Nessie ‘ on the front.
Although, I might suggest making it a rather more cartoony version instead of a realistic monster image - you don’t want to frighten them now!
Camouflage Pattern
If its one thing boys love its armed forces action figures. Whether its the tiny green army men or G.I Joe action figures or just running around pretending to be soldiers in the playground, you can’t deny that boys love to play army.
You'll be their best friend if you make them a quilt with an army green camouflage pattern on it - they can use it when they build a pillow fortress in the rumpus room or to keep them hidden from any monsters under their bed.
Its certain to be a hit!
So make sure that your next quilt is a green quilt and you can be sure to inspire even the most hardened of quilt critics!
